Library Loot

A meme to encourage bloggers to share all the wonderful loot they bring home from the library.

Time sure does fly! Particularly those days between borrowing a book and it's due back date. Then comes the renew or not to renew? This week I decided not to renew a couple including Name of the Wind . There's always another time and last week I saw reviews of two fantasy books in our Saturday paper that appealed ........put them on hold and have picked them up today.

Lord of the Changing Winds by Rachel Neumeier.........first of the Griffin Mage Trilogy.
Wolfsangel by M.D.Lachlan.............recommended for people who like weird magic, unpredictable outcomes, gore and Vikings. Actually I liked the wolf!

When I got home I discovered three books had jumped into my bag when I wasn't looking. Funny that!!

The Cemetery of Secrets by David Hewson..............a Venetian mystery.
Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende.................a slave and a concubine determined to claim her own destiny.
The Burning Wire by Jeffery Deaver....................the new Lincoln Rhyme thriller.

Hope you have some lovely loot this week, too!

  1. It's been a while since I have read Allende. I should check out this new book.

  2. That first book looks really good, I hope it's good, never heard about it before

  3. These look good! I am definitely a fan of Allende's work, and love the cover of Lord of the Changing Winds.

  4. Marg - it's been a while since I've read an Allende too.

Blodeuedd - have just finished it and I liked it a lot.

Stephanie - the Allende sounds a fascinating story so I hope I like it.

  5. Great finds! I really like the cover of Wolfsangel! Enjoy!

  6. Is the Allende book her latest? I'm not familiar with it and I've read most of her books. Enjoy your loot!

  7. Yay for Allende! :) That Venetian mystery sounds neat too.
