  1. Awesome list! I haven't read any of these titles yet, but Gone Girl and Phantom are top of my reading list for next year.

  2. I haven't read any of these either, though I have the Louise Penny on the TBR stacks. I just saw the title of next book announced - and I've forgotten it already.

  3. The Gods of Gotham is one of my favourite crime novels of the year too. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. I also enjoyed The Water Room and Dead Scared.

    1. It was different to what I expected and I thought it was an excellent historical mystery.

  4. That's a great list - though it reminds me that I've fallen behind with pretty much every series!

  5. Amazing list :-) I really wish we had more genre bloggers to do this, maybe I should do a seperate one as most of my top 10 were crime thrillers also.

I haven't read any but want to read Collection Cooper and authors Mo Hayder, Tana F, Loiuse P and SJ Bolton.

Glad to see you loved them.

I did read Gone Girl, but I am in the minority of not enjoying it.

    1. I like to have a record of my favourites and although I didn't read as much crime fiction this year almost every book was excellent. I can recommend all of these.
There were things I didn't like about GG but overall the originality and the twist made it a winner for me.,

    1. Loved The Beautiful Mystery - I love Louise Penny so much I never review her books because I don't feel I can find the words to do her justice.

  7. I loved 'The Beautiful Mystery'. I think Penny just gets better and better with each book. As, does Tana French. There are authors here I haven't tried, so thank you for a list that may furnish my own reading for next year.
