There really should be no loot this week with the pile I still have but, you know how it is. Last Friday the library rang to say a book I had on hold was there so very necessary to go pick it up.........and then I spotted another so had to have that as well.
Then today I had to return a few before they fell into overdue status and couldn't resist having a quick look around .
What lovely loot did you bring home this week?
I hope you enjoy The White Queen. It was one of Phillipa Gregory's better novels. My review for it is here
ReplyDeleteThanks - I wouldn't say I'm one of her biggest fans but I'm reading everything I can about Elizabeth of York at the moment so added this one in. I'll be sure to read your review but not until after I've read the book myself.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great loot there, a lot of books I wanna check out :D
ReplyDeleteI have borrowed The White Queen a few times but keep on having to return it. I read Rose of Sebastopol a while ago and thought it was okay. Let me know if you want a rec for a book with a similar setting when you have read it.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting very impatiently for new on the third book in the trilogy that The Tea Rose is the first book of. I enjoyed The Tea Rose, absolutely adored the second book, The Winter Rose!
Thanks Marg...I'll keep that in mind. Okay doesn't sound all that promising.
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to Tea Rose.
Oh, these look wonderful! Lovely covers, too.

Some nice loot there. I've been debating up reading the White Queen and 19th Wife for a while, but both keep getting pushed down the TBR list. And the Rose of Sebastopol looks interesting and has been added to my list. I'll have to check back when you review it to see what its like. Enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read your review on The White Queen. I absolutely loved her books about the Bolyne girls.
