It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event  hosted by Sheila at One Person's Book Journey

List the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books you plan to read this week.

I was away for last week's Reading on Monday so these are the books I've read and reviewed over the past two weeks.

The Rose of Sebastopol by Katherine McMahon - review
The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff - review
The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly - review
A Year to Learn a Woman by Paddy Richardson - to be reviewed.

Currently I'm reading:

Not often I read two novels at the same time but I'm struggling with The King's Mistress and needed something else before I go back and finish it.

Then I plan to read :

A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
The Pirate's Daughter by Margaret Cezair-Thompson

Have a great reading week!

  1. I have The King's Mistress on order at the library so I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with it! The reviews I've read have been a bit mixed.

I usually only read one novel at once too but I'm trying a different tack at the moment - one classic novel and one non-classic. I'm enjoying the variety so far!

  2. Ohh hey are you a Sevenwaters fan? I have Daughter of the Forest on my TBR... cant wait to see what you thought of Son of the Shadows

  3. Miss Moppet - I haven't read any reviews yet as I like to wait until I've done mine but I'm glad to hear they're mixed because I feared I might be the lone minority who doesn't like this book at all.

Amelia - definitely a big JM fan and loving the Sevenwaters trilogy. I'm going to read all three and review them together.

  8. To be honest, I am not really familiar with the books that you listed above. Though I peeked on your review on The 19th Wife and that one somehow caught my interest! Will jot that one down and hoping to find it on my next bookstore trip! Thanks for stopping by my site =)

    Have a pleasant day!

  15. Thank you all for visiting :-)

The 19th Wife has been the most commented on book I've ever posted - seems so many have it on their lists so I hope you'll all read it and enjoy as much as I did.
Glad you liked the review Chrissie.

I'm looking forward to the other wife - the reliable one - have a feeling its going to be different to what I"m expecting.

Lydia - something about cover images all lined up that I love.

Sunny - I'm reading The Pirate's Daughter for the Unbridled Books Tour so not sure what to expect - sounds interesting.
