April has been a disaster as far as reading and blogging goes. TWO WHOLE WEEKS without a computer and a scramble to catch up with scheduled reviews when I got it back has all been rather frustrating added to which I started disliking every book I picked up. On the positive side the house, garden and my eyesight benefited so a break was probably what I needed and hopefully things will now improve.
I'm really enjoying my Easter - for the first time ever I'm entirely alone and loving the peace and quiet and the opportunity for 'me time'.
Last week I read:
The Creeper by Tania Carver
La Rochelle's Road by Tanya Moir
Currently reading:
Child of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier - the third in the Sevenwaters trilogy and I've been reading it on and off for three weeks.
Coming up next - will depend on what I bring home from the library tomorrow . I have these two lined up but always the possibilty something else will tempt me more.
Farundell by L R Fredericks - a debut novel which sounds very intriguing - " and enigmatic book, an erotic obssession, magic both black and white, a ghost who's not a ghost, a treasure that's not a treasure."
Myself My Enemy by Jean Plaidy - I did read this many years ago but thought I'd reread for Royal Reviews Jean Plaidy week.
I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter break - have a great reading week!
I keep meaning to read Jean Plaidy's books. Enjoy and have a wonderful week. My MOnday: http://www.rundpinne.com/2011/04/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-36.html
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a good week. I have a bunch of books by Juliet Marillier on my stack but haven't gotten to them yet. My Monday report is here. Have a great week.

Sorry to hear about your computer issues! I hate when things like that happen.
ReplyDeleteI read Myself, My Enemy a bit ago and quite enjoyed it. Hope your reread goes well!
I love me a good cozy mystery from time to time!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen those books but in your blog. I hope you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteIt's All About Books
So glad you're enjoying 'me' time, but I think I'd go crazy without a computer for that long lol. Good luck catching up and happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a good read that makes you feel great again.... I would be lost without my computer for two weeks.... (although it would probably be really good for me) :)
ReplyDeleteOh, being without a computer is like withdrawing from drugs, I think...LOL
ReplyDeleteI've been without one for three or four days before, and went to the library to work. But it's not the same!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Sorry about your computer problems, we all seem to be quite addicted to these things. You seemed to have used the break well and things will get back on track soon.
