It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

hosted by Sheila
 Home again from a lovely relaxing break away from normal routine, including blogging, and still feeling caught in the betwixt and between feelings of 'sad to say goodbye but good to be home' but I've been enjoying catching up with google reader and reading the Armchair BEA posts.

Last week I read ;

Three books from the pile I gathered up at the secondhand bookshop near our daughters - has a great selection of books and I always look forward to a visit.

Giovanni's Gift by Bradford Morrow
The Forest Lover by Susan Vreeland - loved this one and will be reviewing it at Royal Reviews during June.
Leonardo's Swans - another one I really enjoyed and will be reviewing soon.

Currently reading:
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand - non-fiction/memoir

Telling an unforgettable story of one man's journey into extremity, a testament to the resilience of the human mind.

I only have a few pages left to read  and  if you like biographies I can recommend this one. Great story and great writing.

Coming up next:

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts - this is a read-a-long which begins this week with the first 100 pages so will be first priority .........after that possibly

Virgin Widow by Anne O'Brien - another of my secondhand finds.
Revelations by Laurel Dewey - for a PUYB tour review.

  5. Ms. Vreeland used to teach ceramics at my high school. That was before her writing career took off.

    This coming week is my last week off before summer session. I have a few books I want to finish before school begins. Come see what they are.

  14. Thank you all for dropping by.

    Yesterday was a nightmare of trying to respond but Blogger wouldn't let me sign in or comment.I've changed to the pop-up in hope that will work as someone has suggested.
