Hosted alternately by Marg at Reading Adventures and Eva at A Striped Armchair
Still gathering the loot in small numbers - these four I picked up before going away . A couple of crime novels because I seem to be overloading on historical fiction lately and wanted something different.
I enjoyed Juliet Marillier's Daughter of the Forest and can't wait to read the second of this trilogy - and Georgette Heyer to read for the Classics Circuit Tour.
Hope you found some wonderful library loot this week !
I've read Patricia Cornwell before and enjoyed her but haven't read this one. Looks like you found some good reads...enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOooh.. you got some good books out there!!
ReplyDelete'Faro's Daughter' is one of my favorite Heyer novels -- such delicious, witty fun! Now I want to go re-read it.
ReplyDeleteI love Daughter of the Forest! The other two are good, but I didn't love them as much...probably because Sorcha wasn't main character. :D Heyer's so fun!
ReplyDeleteHard to decide what to read next but I think the Marillier - I know what you mean, Eva - sometimes you can never feel the same as for the first book so we'll see.
ReplyDeleteI need to hurry up and read Heyer for the Classics tour. running out of time again!
ReplyDeleteI have a Marillier out from the library at the moment, which will be my first experience of her writing.
Enjoy your loot.
Marg - Juliet Marillier is pure magic. I fell in love with her writing reading Daughter of the Forest and couldn't wait to continue the trilogy.
