Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Marg at The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader and Claire at The Captive Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.
For the last two weeks while we're babysitting my library visits have been limited to a quick dash to return due books and grab the ones I had on hold. Today I had a little more time and you can tell I've been feeling deprived because I definitely overdid it. When I'm going to read all these I have no idea but couldn't resist any of them.
The Piano Teacher by Janice Y K Lee
The Greenlanders by Jane Smiley
Started Early, Took my Dog by Kate Atkinson
Juliet by Anne Fortier
Of Bees and Mist by Erick Setiawan
The Marriage Bed by Regina McBride
The Hand that First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrell
The Rosetti Letter by Christi Phillips
Have you read any of these? What did you think of them?
Hope your library loot is as good as mine!
These are some really fantastic options! I've had my eye on a few of these -- particularly Of Bees and Mist and The Rosetti Letter, so I can't wait to read your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteNice books! I remember listening to a review of Juliet recently - I'm interested in that one, so I'll be looking for your review!
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to read The Rosetti Letter for ages! I have borrowed it at least once. One day I will try again!
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for my library to get in their copies of the new Kate Atkinson. Seems to be taking forever!
Enjoy your loot!
I think I may just have heard about the two first, anyway great loot :D
ReplyDeleteThose look great! I haven't read any of them, but have heard great things about Juliet.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these but am excited to hear why I should!
ReplyDeleteI hope I do manage to get at least some of them read - they all look great and I don't know where to start.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! :-)
I love the cover of Juliet! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe Greenlanders is one of my favorite books! It's not a fast read I think so I'm a bit "worried" that you'll give up on it if it doesn't totally interest you.
ReplyDeleteBut give it a go, and see what you think!
I am not familiar with any of these books but the covers are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great selection of books! I can't wait for the new Atkinson to be released in the U.S..
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't know Kate Atkinson had written another Jackson Brodie novel! I'll have to see if my library has it on order ...
ReplyDeleteI love going overboard at the library and do it all the time :) Seriously though, it looks like you really found some good reads. I'm anxious to read the Maggie O'Farrell book myself. Hope you enjoy!
