Theme Thursday - Action

This is a meme hosted by kavyen at Reading between Pages.. “Theme Thursdays” will be open from one Thursday to the next and anyone can post it. The rules are simple:

* A theme will be posted each week (on Thursdays)
* Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
* Post it and don’t forget to mention the author and the title of the book
* It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
* Since we may take a few days to finish a book, this event is open for one whole week

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This weeks theme is

ANACTION (go, walk, close, clap etc)

" She propped herself up on her knees, noticing how weak she was, then pushed off and managed to sit back on her heels, feeling the fire again ignited inside her mouth. She set one knee on the floor and managed to stand halfway up."

  3. Ooh so intriguing!

    My theme post is HERE

  4. Sounds like me trying to get up off the floor after watching TV!!! Great action piece

  5. +JMJ+

This is an interesting choice for the Action theme because the character is definitely pushed to the limit by the actions she has to perform, and yet it's not your typical "action packed" scene. A great deal of the tension is internal.

  6. That was interesting! It made you visualize well! Feel free to check out my first Theme Thursday here.

Hi Cristina - welcome to the followers and I hope you'll enjoy your visits here.

Enbrethiliel - very perceptive. I hadn't thought of that probably because in the context of the story it was 'big action'.
