It's Monday! What are you reading?

hosted by Sheila
A weekly meme where we list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books we plan to read this week.

Last week I read

Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly
Death on a Galician Shore by Domingo Villar
Before I go to Sleep by S J Watson

Although I had good intentions of catching up with reviews I came down with a cold and had little inclination to sit at the computer so only managed one.

The highlight of the week was the arrival of my Kindle yesterday a few days earlier than expected which was a nice surprise and I've been wasting lots of time over the weekend making lists of books to download. Also looking forward to returning to NetGalley .

Currently I'm reading:

I still have a few pages to go on Shantaram but near enough to finished to feel I can now go back reading something more substantial.

Gillespie and I by Jane Harris - Historical fiction set in the 1880's. I've read only positive things about this book and really looking forward to it.

Corrag by Susan Fletcher - my first Kindle read! I've had this book on my wishlist for a long time after reading another by this author. More historical fiction about the Massacre of Glencoe.

Pure coincidence that both these novels are set in Scotland. I've only just started reading both of them and I think they'll take me through this coming week so I'm not looking any further ahead. With a houseful from Wednesday - Sunday it's going to be a busy few days and reading will have to take a backseat. Hopefully I'll manage some reviewing although I might have to settle for short, quick reviews.

Tuesday 9th I'll be at Royal Reviews reviewing A Prisoner of the Inquisition - YA Historical Fiction

Hope everyone will have a great reading week!

  10. Enjoy your books. I've been so busy having fun with my kids and doing homework, that I've hardly taken any time to read. Come see what I did finish and why I'll be reading even less this week!
