Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Marg at The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader and Claire at The Captive Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.

Sunday I lifted my ban on putting books on hold and this morning had a call from the library that two were there already to pick up.............

Time's Legacy by Barbara Erskine...............beautiful and haunting tale of dark forces and mystical powers. One of my favourite authors so looking forward to this one.

Still Missing by Chevy Stevens.........Interwoven with the story of the year Annie spent as the captive of a psychopath in a remote mountain cabin, which unfolds through sessions with her psychiatrist, is a second narrative recounting events following her escape . I've read so many good reviews  and now I'll see for myself.
And noticing these two on the returns shelf I added them to my loot as well.

31 Bond Street by Ellen Horan........Based on a true story, mystery and intrigue in pre-Civil War New York - the sensational murder of Dr. Harvey Burdell in his lower Manhattan home made front-page news across the United States in 1857.

Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James........Katherine has moved away from her shattered once-perfect family to start a new life in Sydney. There she keeps her head down until she is befriended by the charismatic Alice, and her life takes her in new directions.

What loot from the library do you have?

  5. I'm hearing great things about Still Missing and I'm always happy to see others reading Canadian novels (particularly ones set in my home province of BC)!

    Enjoy your loot!

  6. I can't wait to read Still Missing, that has got to be the popular choice lately.

    Beautiful Malice looks interesting also.

  7. Nice Loot! I have Times Legacy here to read. There seemed to be a bit of pre-release hype about Beautiful Malice here, but as far as I can tell it hasn't really taken off!

    Enjoy your loot!

  8. Looks like some very nice books. Some of those covers are just very intriuging.

    Enjoy your reading!
