It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

hosted by Sheila
A weekly meme where we list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books we plan to read this week.

April has been a disaster as far as reading and blogging goes. TWO WHOLE WEEKS without a computer and a scramble to catch up with scheduled reviews when I got it back has all been rather frustrating added to which I started disliking every book I picked up. On the positive side the house, garden and my eyesight benefited so a break was probably what I needed and hopefully things will now improve.

I'm really enjoying my Easter - for the first time ever I'm entirely alone and loving the peace and quiet and the opportunity for 'me time'.

Last week I read:

The Creeper by Tania Carver
La Rochelle's Road by Tanya Moir

Currently reading:

The Bride That Time Forgot by Paul Magrs - I had no idea what sort of book this was when I brought it home from the library - it's a cozy mystery of the supernatural kind, rather fun and perfect holiday reading.

Child of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier - the third in the Sevenwaters trilogy and I've been reading it on and off for three weeks.

Coming up next - will depend on what I bring home from the library tomorrow . I have these two lined up but always the possibilty something else will tempt me more.

Farundell by L R Fredericks - a debut novel which sounds very intriguing - " and enigmatic book, an erotic obssession, magic both black and white, a ghost who's not a ghost, a treasure that's not a treasure."

Myself My Enemy by Jean Plaidy - I did read this many years ago but thought I'd reread for Royal Reviews Jean Plaidy week.

I hope everyone is having a lovely Easter break - have a great reading week!

  7. So glad you're enjoying 'me' time, but I think I'd go crazy without a computer for that long lol. Good luck catching up and happy reading :)

  8. I hope you find a good read that makes you feel great again.... I would be lost without my computer for two weeks.... (although it would probably be really good for me) :)

  9. Oh, being without a computer is like withdrawing from drugs, I think...LOL

I've been without one for three or four days before, and went to the library to work. But it's not the same!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  10. Sorry about your computer problems, we all seem to be quite addicted to these things. You seemed to have used the break well and things will get back on track soon.
