Theme Thursday - Location

This is a meme hosted by kavyen at Reading between Pages. “Theme Thursdays” will be open from one Thursday to the next and anyone can post it. The rules are simple:

* A theme will be posted each week (on Thursdays)
* Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
* Post it and don’t forget to mention the author and the title of the book
* It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
* Since we may take a few days to finish a book, this event is open for one whole week

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This weeks theme is - Location (reference to the place where the story takes place)

" Monteferro and the Estalas Islands provided the harbour in Panxon with natural shelter. The beach there was protected and calm, but as it left the village it became exposed, so open to the Atlantic that old seafarers claimed that, sailing west in a straight line, America was the first obstacle one reached. For this reason, the stretch of sand beyond the creek was no longer called the Playa de Panxon but Playa America."

  6. BG - a bit different to the usual. I'm on a crime spree at the moment.

At times the description of the locale is so vivid it's like reading a travel book.

Vicki - it is a great cover .

    Thanks for visiting, everyone!
