ReplyDeleteGreat books! I hope you'll enjoy them! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThe Good Thief was pretty dark, much darker then I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Monday: http://thelostentwife.net/2010/03/14/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-12/

Aths & Rhiana - LDALH is not my usual sort of reading but the dogs appealed and its actually rather good....light and entertaining.
ReplyDeleteLydia - I agree although I don't mind 'dark'. I simply didn't like the book at all.
Jennifer & Julie - Looking forward to Snow Flower , heard so many good things about it.
Zia - hope you enjoy both books. I love Louise Penny and CI Gamache and really liked this one.
Sheila - look forward to your review of A Reliable Wife
Laurel-Rain - Mistress of Nothing is a beautifully written story which I highly recommend.
Hi Aleksandra - thanks for dropping by!
Hmm..what was it about The Good Thief you didn't like? It's on my massive tbr pile so I'm interested in hearing your take on it.
ReplyDeleteenjoy your reading week!
I loved Snowflower and The Secret Fan. I hope you are enjoying it. Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts looks like an interesting book too.
ReplyDeleteHere is what I'm reading.
Christina - I've started Snow Flower and loving it, apart from the horror of the foot binding.
ReplyDeleteNancy - I thought the book started well but then started going in pointless directions which only seemed designed to introduce an increasingly grotesque collection of characters. If the authors intention was to add a fantasy element it didn't work for me. If this book was food I'd say it left a most unpleasant taste in my mouth.
