This is a meme hosted by kavyen at Reading between Pages.. “Theme Thursdays” will be open from one Thursday to the next and anyone can post it. The rules are simple:
* A theme will be posted each week (on Thursdays)
* Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
* Post it and don’t forget to mention the author and the title of the book
* It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
* Since we may take a few days to finish a book, this event is open for one whole week
This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.
This weeks theme is -
FACIAL PARTS (Eyes, Ears, Nose, Lips etc)
"You want to feel, Jonas?"
Not really. Still, he was a policeman and he should.......
He swallowed audibly and touched the nose. It was cold and gristly and made Jonas - an ardent vegetarian - think of raw pork chops. Mark Dennis guided him and Jonas felt the break in Margaret Priddy's nose move grittily under his fingers.
p14 ............Dark Side by Belinda Bauer
eeekkk, veggie having to think of meat the least would be PORK.

Eeek - wonderfully descriptive but a bit gritty for me!!! Sounds like it could be a good book though with a mystery like that!

Good morning, everyone - thanks for dropping by .
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the followers,Megan, I hope you'll enjoy your visits.
I thought it was a suitably gruesome snippet as the book is a murder mystery......a good one too!
