Not much reading done last week but I attempted to read

The Mistress of Nothing by Kate to come.

Currently I'm reading:

Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts

 by Lucy Dillon

Nice light relaxing reading to recover from a hectic week!

After that I don't really know.........I must finish Faro's Daughter by Georgette Heyer and then possibly

Books to review this week:

The Pirate's Daughter by Margaret Cezair-Thonpson
A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny
The Mistress of Nothing by Kate Pullinger

  1. The cover of Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts look so good!! :) Happy reading week!

  2. I've been meaning to pick up LDALH for a while now, it's shortlisted for Romatic Novel of the Year here, winners announced must be a good read!

  3. Snow Flower has an amazing cover. I have A Reliable Wife to review as well.

    Have a great reading week!

  4. I truly enjoyed Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, I hope you do as well. Have a great week reading. If you get a moment, my Monday:

  5. I want to read The Brutal Telling and A Reliable Wife. Have a good week! Here's mine.

  6. Snow Flower is in my TBR pile too. I just never seem to get around to it. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  7. Great books! I hope you'll enjoy them! Happy reading!

  8. The Good Thief was pretty dark, much darker then I thought it would be.

    Here is my Monday:

  9. The Mistress of Nothing looks fascinating...

    Here's my post:

  10. Aths & Rhiana - LDALH is not my usual sort of reading but the dogs appealed and its actually rather good....light and entertaining.

Lydia - I agree although I don't mind 'dark'. I simply didn't like the book at all.

Jennifer & Julie - Looking forward to Snow Flower , heard so many good things about it.

Zia - hope you enjoy both books. I love Louise Penny and CI Gamache and really liked this one.

Sheila - look forward to your review of A Reliable Wife

Laurel-Rain - Mistress of Nothing is a beautifully written story which I highly recommend.

Hi Aleksandra - thanks for dropping by!

  11. Hmm..what was it about The Good Thief you didn't like? It's on my massive tbr pile so I'm interested in hearing your take on it.

    enjoy your reading week!

  12. I loved Snowflower and The Secret Fan. I hope you are enjoying it. Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts looks like an interesting book too.

    Here is what I'm reading.

  13. Christina - I've started Snow Flower and loving it, apart from the horror of the foot binding.

Nancy - I thought the book started well but then started going in pointless directions which only seemed designed to introduce an increasingly grotesque collection of characters. If the authors intention was to add a fantasy element it didn't work for me. If this book was food I'd say it left a most unpleasant taste in my mouth.
