It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

A weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Persons Journey

List the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books you plan to read this week.

What a weekend it has been with the whole country affected by major storms. Raging winds and lashing rain rain has created havoc, loss of power , fallen trees and landslides everywhere .......stay home, stay safe has been the warning so great for the reading but not so good for blogging with internet failures. So much for Spring!!!

The past two weeks I've read:

Time's Legacy by Barbara Erskine
Nanny Returns by Nicola Kraus & Emma McLaughlin
The Treasure of Montsegur by Sophy Burnham
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
Arcadia Falls by Carol Goodman

Posted Reviews for:

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier
Eternal on the Water by Joseph Monniger
The Bones of Avalon by Phil Rickman

Currently I'm reading:
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbary
The Historian - this week is the start of the readalong at  On the Ledge Readalongs
Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa - another readalong starting today and hosted by Jenners but my copy of the book hasn't arrived yet  so a slight delay.

After that is uncertain. This week we have our 3-year-old grandson coming to stay with us for two weeks while his Mum and siblings are away in Australia. His Dad will also be here in the evenings but having a lively little boy here during the day is probably going to mean less time for reading and even less for blogging so we'll see how it goes. The next two I have lined up are:

Tiger Hills by Sarita Mandanna
The Grave Tattoo by Val McDermid

Have a great reading week!

I read Elegance of the Hedgehog back in December. It was good, but difficult. I hope you enjoy it!

  6. I started The Historian more than a year ago. I set it aside. One of these days I should finish it.

You can see I'm in the middle of my research. Here's what I'm reading this week.

  8. Happy reading this week. You've got some great books going. But a 3yo grandson is not really handy if you want to get some reading done! Ok, you're right, who wants to get any reading done if they can look after their lovely grandson? Right you are.

    My post is here

Judith - lots of picture books this week.

Teddyree - didn't think Time's Legacy was as good as some of her others.

Laurel-Rain - not really a chicklit reader and I read this for a tour but found I enjoyed it immensely.

Gautami - hope your slump passes quickly.

alita - all adds to the atmosphere.

Lori - I hope I'll manage to keep up and actually finish - then I'll be impressed too.
