RIP V Challenge

Considering what I was saying yesterday regarding challenges entering another one seems ridiculous but who could resist this gorgeous banner.

Hosted by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings the challenge runs from September 1st through October 31st and readers can choose their books from a any of these categories:
Mystery
Suspense
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.

There are several options as to the number of books to read - I'm going for Peril the First and 4 books. Potential reads and definitely subject to change:

Her Fearful Symmetry - Audrey Niffenegger
Affinity - Sarah Waters
Blind Fury - Lynda LaPlante
Live to Tell - Lisa Gardner
The Haunting of Hill House - Shirley Jackson
The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman

  1. OMG, this looks like fun! Tedious & Brief and I are possibly hosting a read-along for The Historian, too, so this all looks just about right for Halloween!! I love this time of year!!

  3. thanks for deciding to join in, I think you'll have fun. Jennifer Gordon's art is so perfect for the banner for the RIP challenge. I love that she lets me add a little challenge-appropriate addition, in this case the castle and of course the RIP V lettering. I love her stuff.

I might need to get in on that Historian read along.

  5. The Haunting of Hill House is one of my favorite books! I've also heard good things about the Nifenegger from my sister, though I haven't tried it yet. I hope you enjoy them!

I have a feeling I may have read The Haunting of Hill House so will have to check that out.
Marg - have had the Graveyard book on my list all year so good opportunity to actually read it.
