Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Marg at The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader and Claire at The Captive Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.

Summer has gone into hiding this past week and the wet and windy weather conditions meant I got through a few books and had quite a pile to return today.
And a new pile to bring home!

The Doctor and the Diva by Adrienne McDonnell - Historical fiction - 1903 , about an opera singer who has struggled for years to become pregnant.
The Memory of Love by Aminata Forna - in a country torn apart by repression and war, four individual lives collide.

The Legend of Hereward by Mike Ripley - Historical Fiction - 11th century England .....a legendary hero who inspired the Robin Hood myth or a good-for-nothing thief?
The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ by Philip Pullman - for the Read a Myth Challenge.

Tell Tale by Sam Hayes - Three desperate strangers bound by one shocking secret! Suspense thriller.
Dark Matter by Michelle Paver - a ghost story!

The Calligrapher's Daughter by Eugenia Kim - set in Korea, a poignant family history based on the author's mother's life.
The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak - Knowing I'm probably the only reader on the planet who hasn't read this yet is becoming too embarrassing - time to rectify that.

Have you read any of these? What did you think?

Hope you have some great loot this week too?
