Library Loot

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Marg at The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader and Claire at The Captive Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library.
My restrictions on library borrowing have paid off - returning the books due yesterday i was left with only one at home. ONE! Unheard of ! Of course I did bring some home but the pile is now manageable and I hope to keep it that way. I have nothing left on hold so enjoyed browsing the shelves and picking up some of the titles in my little green TBR notebook.

The Butterfly Cabinet by Bernie McGill...............On a remote estate in the north of Ireland, a little girl dies and the community is quick to condemn her mother. Now seventy years later, a former nanny at the house knows the time has come to reveal the events of that day.
The Earth Hums in B Flat by Mari Strachan............set in a small Welsh village in the 1950's, this is a story of dark family secrets . It's filled with wonderful characters and written with insight and sparkling tenderness.

Watch Out For Me by Sylvia Johnson........Australia, 1967. Four children tell a lie to get out of trouble and an immigrant worker is wrongly accused of a crime. Forty years later the past resurfaces...
When We Were Strangers by Pamela Schoenewaldt.........A young Italian girl emigrates to America and begins a new life sewing dresses for gentlewomen.

What did you bring home from the library this week?

Linda - I've had it on my list for a while too so when I saw it I thought now's the time. Looks as though it will be good.
