Saturday Snapshot - Paris

Lunch on the Champs d'Elysees

Paris is synonymous with great food and we certainly indulged ourselves during four magical days in that city. On this occasion we were to be disappointed - exorbitant prices, extra for the pavement table,  for the pleasure of lunching on mashed potato, green beans and sliced chicken breast. Quelle horreur! Even I can do better than that!
Not that anything could dampen our spirits - the wine was good! That's Mr Cat on the left and my SIL on the right.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce@ At Home With Books post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. I guess you have to pay for the ambiance - Quel (le?) dommage!

  2. Quite right, Kaye, and the ambiance was worth the price. I think we found it all quite funny - hence the photo.

  3. I've never been to Paris, but yes I would expect the food to be good. :) We had some interesting food in England, but then English food has a reputation of being not so tasty. Thanks for sharing your photos and the story behind them!

  8. Paris is such an amazing place- I'm totally besotted with it. Lunch on the Champs Elysee is sadly often disappointing- as any city is in the very touristy areas. At least the wine was good!
